Time, is a heartless thief.
it waits for no one, then
robs us of our
dreams
and fantasies.

She was screaming
but her words consumed her cry
enticing me with their beauty
till I forgot their meaning.
She fell so completely
so wonderfully in love
with the ideal of her own insanity
that the wings
which I had nailed into her spine
were held closed
by her blood stained hands
as she fell
and fell
and fell
so far beyond my reach
however never far enough
that I couldn't hear
the lovely limericks
and seductive sonnets
hail down upon me in hoarse screams,
their beauty forcing me to my knees
and their truth, of the pain
which you romanticized into glorious
plays of shadowed fingers
narrated by tutored pleas

The War Ain't Over
The war's never over
Its always just beginning
Thinking of all the battles I've lost
Sends my brain spinning,
But the war ain't over
That much I know
So there's a chance I could take the reigns
And then I'd never let 'em go
But right now's another battle
Another hour of pain,
The enemies siege
When my smile started to wane
Under the crushing blows
Their words did to me
Though I suppose
I should be glad they weren't
Sticks and stones
Cause then where would I be?
And as my embarrassment mounts
Then comes their cavalry
Stabbing at what's left of my gaiety.
I call for a retreat
Cut the losses of my pride
Run back for shelter

Dreaming,
Caressing fantasies -
Simple fables,
But do we ever learn?
Love, hatred,
Contrast;
Muse.
We may win,

Lose.
Recover from mistakes
Repeat, repeat,
End -
Endless cycles
That are
To our routine
And yet,
What are words
But a loss
To wandering minds?
Where they go,
Where they hide -
What they see,

I was actually trying to imagine Time as a person. It was very scary, and rather humorous. Then I realized that it was metaphorical... 
I'd like to see Time as more of a Saint. In a sense. Giving us more time..I don't know...xD
